Before Tattoo removal
📌 Important Pre-Treatment Information for Laser Tattoo Removal
-
✅ Shave the Area Before Treatment
The treatment area must be completely hair-free. Please shave the area on the day of your appointment to avoid delays. -
🚫 No Tanning or Fake Tan
The skin must be free from any sun exposure or artificial tan.
A tanned area may postpone treatment, as we need to perform an accurate skin analysis for safety and effectiveness. -
💉 Numbing Cream Available
A local anaesthetic (numbing) cream is available upon request during your consultation. Let us know if you'd prefer to use this before treatment. -
⚠️ Disclose Allergies
Please inform us of any allergies during your consultation to ensure your safety during treatment. -
📝 Consultation Forms Required
All clients must complete a consultation and medical form during their first session. This helps us tailor the treatment to your needs and health history.
❄️ Post-Treatment Care for Laser Tattoo Removal
-
✅ Redness & Raised Rash Are Normal
Immediately after treatment, the skin will likely be red and raised, similar to a mild rash. This is a normal response. -
🧊 Cooling Aftercare Is Provided
Ice packs are available and offered immediately after treatment to reduce discomfort and swelling. -
🏠 Use Ice at Home
At home, apply an ice pack or frozen peas wrapped in a clean tea towel for short intervals to help with swelling and redness. -
🩹 Pinpoint Bleeding May Occur
Some minor pinpoint bleeding is normal and temporary. Our team will apply an aftercare gel immediately after your session to support healing. -
💧 Healing & Scabbing
The treated area may scab during the healing process. Avoid picking or scratching to prevent scarring and infection. -
📝 You’ll Receive a Post-Treatment Advice Sheet
After your session, you'll be given detailed aftercare instructions including recommended healing gels to use at home. -
☀️ Protect the Area from Sun Exposure
Your skin will be more sensitive to UV rays post-treatment:-
Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 1 week
-
Cover the area with clothing when outdoors
-
Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen (minimum SPF 30) if the area is exposed
-
-
🚫 Avoid the Following After Treatment
-
To prevent irritation, infection, or delayed healing:
-
❌ Picking or scratching scabs – this can lead to permanent scarring
-
❌ Using soap or perfumed products on the area for the first 48 hours
-
❌ Strenuous physical activity (sweating can irritate the area) for 1–2 days
-
❌ Swimming, hot tubs, or saunas until the scab has fully healed – this can slow healing and increase risk of infection
